Artwork by Virginia M. Forrest is on display for the month of August.
Virgina strives to paint the beauty that surrounds us. Her work is usually done in watercolor, ink, gouache, or acrylic. For many summers, she made a pilgrimage to Monhegan Island and its artist community for inspiration. Her perennial gardens often find a way to enhance her scenes as well. Boats in the harbor or laundry on the line, her work invokes the lives of the people in her maine community. Virginia taught 3rd grade in Wiscasset for twenty-five years. In her retirement, she began to concentrate on her art.Author Visits on Wednesdays at 5PM
